Most Probably, the holy month of Ramadan in Japan will start from 29th June,2014. In this holy month, Muslims observe fast in every day of this month by abstaining from eating and drinking (including water) during daylight hours. At the time of sunset, they break their fast and the process is called Iftaar. Muslims invite others to join their iftaar and this get-together to break fast together is called Iftaar Party in modern days.
ICOJ will be organizing several Iftaar parties in coming Ramadan in different places in Japan in which Japanese (Muslims and Non Muslims) brothers and sisters are invited in order to increase awareness about Islamic culture and practices.
