Hira Mosque construction work is complete

Hira Mosque reconstruction project was taken up JMF last year when the Majlis e shoora of ICOJ decided to rebuild the mosque as the existing building had become too old and there was a need to increase the capacity of the mosque to accommodate more persons. The total project cost is estimated to Yen45,000,000 to be paid in three installments, out of which two installments have already been paid to the building construction company.

 It may be recalled that Hira Mosque was established in 1997 by purchasing a building in Gyotaku, Ichikawa shi, which was a pub earlier. The original building could only accommodate 40 to 50 persons while as the new building has a capacity of 200 persons with a separate floor for ladies.

The newly constructed building has been designed by one of the leading architects of Japan, Miyata & co, who has spent quite a good time in Middle east & and has designed quite a good number of Mosques .The design of the building is similar to mosques in Muslim countries with two minars at the front and a dome shaped arch at the top.
