Around 300 men,women,children including local non muslims attended the function

Islamic Circle of Japan arranged an Iftaar party in Gyotoku I&I cultural hall on 7th August 2011 .from 18:00 to 8:15. Around 300 persons included a number of Japanese non Muslims attended the Iftar Party.The party started at 6.00 pm and concluded by 8.15 p.m.ICOJ had given an open invitation for Japanese

A brief programme was held before Iftar which started with recitation by Br.Abu Hakeem Maeno followed by a welcome address by Br. Amanat ali,President of Islamic Circle of Japan.Br.Amanat Ali in his address welcomed the guests who had come from different parts of Japan to attend this function.

Later Br.Abu Hakeem Maeno,Head of Japanese wing of ICOJ,addressed the gathering presenting a brief introduction of Islam and Islamic culture. Br.Jameel Ahmed ,who has been in charge Tsunami Relief cell,set up by ICOJ for relief work in Tsunami hit areas presented a brief report of the relief work carried out by ICOJ post 11/03 in the Tsunami hit areas of Japan. Children of Hira weekend school presented Nasheed in Japanese before It was time for breaking of fast. With the Adhan by Br.Abu Hakeem Muslim participants had dates to break their fast while non Muslim Japanese joined them .
After the Maghrib prayers participants had the Dinner. A variety of dishes including dishes of Syria , Indonesia , Ghana, India and Pakistan were served. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Br. Abu Hakeem Ahmed Maeno.
