ICOJ relief work continues in Tsunami hit areas Print E-mail

Islamic Circle of Japan is actively engaged in relief work distributing food and other essential goods to evacuees in various evacuation centers. In combined effort with Al-Khair Foundation UK,first Relief team headed by Ameer e Circle, Br.Amanat Ali stayed in the evacuation center in Ishinomaki city & distributed breakfast to around 1000 evacuees camping in two local schools.

The relief team stayed in the camp itself and served lunch & dinner which was prepared by volunteers of ICOJ in the evacuation centre itself in order to serve hot meal to the evacuees. Lunch & dinner was served in the camp to around 600 people for 2 days while as breakfast was served among 1000 persons.In addition essential items including rice, noodles,mineral water,coffee,stoves,candles,disposable crockery,toys,undergarment etc were distributed among needy in the camps. The relief work is going on & teams are visiting various camps in different evacuation centers .
